It's a thin man's game.

Paintball, not for the large in size

It seemed much harder to hid behind trees this time. Based on my welts, it would seem that at all times either my butt or my gut was sticking out into the open.

Lots of fun, lots and lots of fun. And it definitely qualified as a workout. Judging by the burning muscles, one that worked different muscles and/or muscles in different ways.

The guys I was playing with seemed surprised that I cheated. I don't know why, they are both in great shape, 15-20 years younger, and hold a much broader set of athletic skills. Cheating was the only way I stood a chance.

Cheating is wrong, you say?!? Of course it is, but thanks to my amazing ability to justify, I was able to avoid any guilt, and slept as well as an aching body can sleep.

I justified it, by not hiding the cheating--I did it openly, and openly admitted to cheating. I knew I wasn't going to win, and I had no problem with that. I was out to have fun, and I did. I hope the other guys did too--they said they did.

After getting the muddy clothes off and into a garbage bag, we all went to dinner and while not the healthiest options did I choose, I was proud of my portion control.

I've decided to bite the bullet and step on the scales tomorrow. Maybe once a week won't be too bad. I have another week until we all weigh-in, but I want to know how I'm doing. I won't be able to compare to anything except my own expectations, but that's something.

With fun things like paintball, and the challenge of conquering the beast in my basement; I have faith that physical activity will be the thing that keeps me moving ahead...and winning.
